No illusion

God is not disillusioned with us. He never had any illusions to begin with.
– Luis Palau

Disillusion –
noun disappointment resulting from the discovery that something is not as good as one believed it to be.
verb cause (someone) to realize that a belief or an ideal is false.

God created us. He formed you and me into being. He lovingly & joyously brought every piece of each of us together to become His child, His person.

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb…

You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.

Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.

‭‭Psalm ‭139:13, 15-16‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Hear this // God has never and will never be disillusioned by you. You have never deceived or mislead Him. He has never been disappointed and left you behind.

Nothing you do, say or think is a shock or a surprise to your Creator! He is the one and only who knows you and loves you beyond imagination!

HE LOVES YOU! Not in spite of your weaknesses or wrongdoings – He loves you IN THE MIDST of them. He walks alongside you and I as we navigate our way through this messy life.

No, this does not mean that once we accept this, life will be a bed of roses. We will continue to have challenges, heartache and difficulties. We will still mess up because, until our final day, we are still human – fallible and imperfect.

Again I say, He loves you! Not in spite of your weaknesses or wrongdoings – He loves you IN THE MIDST of them.

So, as we take each step in this life, we can be assured…

God knows us.
God love us.
God walks beside us.
