Defined: without warning; unexpectedly; OUT OF THE BLUE

We all have been there.

Something happens… everything changes.

It can be a beautiful marriage proposal. You receive the acceptance letter in the mail you thought you’d never get. Your son comes home safe from the front lines. You receive notice that your account is overdrawn. Your car blows a tire. You get that diagnosis you were not prepared for.

In every single one of these unexpected moments, emotions can get the best of us.

In the good times, we cling to the happiness and the fun busyness of it all.

In the mundane times, frustrating mole hills can become overwhelming mountains.

Tragedy guts us, and sorrow and grief become daily companions.

Ultimately we are left with one truth, one unchangeable in the midst of our OUT OF THE BLUE moments…

So we realize, no matter what happens in life, we can trust the Lord. We must trust the Lord.

And we take the next step ——> trusting the Lord.

• Written for the event I am working on as an event coordinator. God is using this theme in ways I could have never imagined in my life.  I will definitely be writing more about trusting the Lord, no matter what!
