Reconcile

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile everything to himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds as expressed in your evil actions.

But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before him — if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard.
‭‭// Colossians‬ ‭1:19-23‬ ‭CSB‬‬

These words humble me.

I am reminded of our holistic connection under the blood of Christ.

I am stirred to renew my commitment to a steadfast faith in Christ, living in hope rather than the fear and uncertainty of this life.

I am brought to my knees in gratitude that I am not alienated anymore, but reconciled to Christ by His broken body.

For “He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:17).

And so I pray for all of us…

May we daily give our lives out of deep gratitude for Christ giving His, and may we live in the reality of the resurrection with a constant hope and anticipation of our final reconciliation.
