Think about the last time you walked outside and a breeze caught you up in a moment. I was walking this evening and each breeze made me pause in pleasure and gratitude.
Fresh air is one of the most amazing gifts we are given… that we often lack to consider.
Fresh air is a necessity in many parts of the world where pollution, harsh climate, and population increases are creating barriers to this basic need.
In our spiritual lives, we too can be barriers to others in the way we live our lives and interact in our relationships.
I choose to be better than that. I read this verse from Philippians the other day,
Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God.
// Philippians 2:15 MSG
I have been praying since that I would be a breath of fresh air – the way I conduct my life, the way I talk, the way I care and love others. I want others to see the living God through me.
How about you? Are you a breath of fresh air? Can those around you see glimpses of the good life?
Lord, may you breath deeply into our lives so we can be fresh air in this polluted world. Amen.
