As I watch footage, interviews, and reminisce on 9/11/01, I am struck by the tiny significant moments of sacrifice and kindness. Many, many more would have lost their lives on that day if it were not for those who instinctively fought and reached out a hand. And in the days after, so many gave of their time, tears, and fortitude as search and rescue became clean up and relief.

May we continue to reach out, to care for our neighbors, and allow Christ’s love and example be our guide.
