Today is International Self Care Day.
Do you find it hard to time time for self care? Is it because you simply cannot find time in the day with “all the things” of life piling up? Maybe you find it a bit selfish? Or is it a deeper issue of self love?

Then one of them, a religious scholar, posed this question to test him: “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
Jesus answered him, “‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you.’ This is the great and supreme commandment. And the second is like it in importance: ‘You must love your friend in the same way you love yourself.’
// Matthew 22:35-39 TPT
Jesus Christ answers the “greatest commandment” question, posed to Him by a scholar, by telling him to Love the Lord first and foremost!
Do it with
EVERY passion,
EVERY energy,
and EVERY thought!
He then follows it up with the second most important commandment, Love others as you Love yourself.
For some, that’s not saying much. Yet we are commanded to Love ourselves… SO WE CAN Love others.
If loving yourself is hard sometimes, know that self love ultimately is an act of service to others and to God!
