The chair across from me at my desk is where everyone sits when they come to chat.

Today I noticed the indents at the bottom of the pillow and it made me smile.

The indents represent all the times people have sat across from me.

So many intentional face to face conversations I would never take back.

Whether it has been a meeting, a check-in to make sure we were on the same page about a project, laughing at something ridiculous, seeing how the weekend went or the often in-depth spiritual conversation that lead to tears (yes, I have tissues on the ready!)… every single conversation has mattered and has been important to me.

Conversations are my heartbeat, my lifeline, my joy!

Conversation isn’t about proving a point; true conversation is about going on a journey with the people you are speaking with.
