I have loved living out summertime; going to the beach, hiking in the mountains on vacation, resting, visiting friends, enjoying the present…
Now it’s September, and even though I’m a bit resistant to letting go of summertime, I relish the coming of fall and all things pumpkin, spices & sweater weather (well, the Florida version of sweater weather!).
This fall is particularly special because I turn 40!
In 25 days, I celebrate the beginning of my fourth decade on this planet & all that God has in store for me.
For each day heading towards my birthday, I thought I would write a wish or desire for my forties. I have thoroughly enjoyed my thirties and I know God has even more adventures around the corner.
Birthday Wish #1 //
I have had the tendency to shrink back, to get anxious and allow fear to rule.
I want to live the Romans 8:38 life! With bold assurance, I want to live out that “I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us (me) from God’s love.” I desire to more intentionally lean into God’s love… to allow the power and purpose of His love to pour over me.
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
My first wish for my forties is the same for you… to live the Romans 8:38 life!
