Tonight is one of those nights I needed to speak truth over myself.
I have not “wrestled well” – as Lysa Teurkerst writes about in Its Not Supposed to be This Way. Not only that, but I have heard from friends that are hurting and struggling, and I am one to take on other’s pain.
Lying on my sofa with PBS’ Victoria on pause because my brain will not stop processing, I flipped the script in my mind and began to think about God’s love.
I started with 1 Corinthians 13, then I allowed my mind to drift into a place of promise rather than stay in a place of uncertainty and questioning.
Because they are comforting to me, I will share the list that I have created in hopes that these descriptions will comfort you.

This love.
It’s like nothing else we have, or ever will, know.
Breathe it in. Allow it to envelope and hold you tight. Never let it go.
Lean in. Learn it’s rhythm and you will be changed… forever.
This love.
