Advent is the unity of our expectation of the three comings of Christ: in the flesh in Bethlehem, in our hearts daily, and in glory at the end of time.
On our fourth week of Advent, we take time to ponder Jesus’ coming at the end of time. When we have a relationship with Jesus, this third “coming” doesn’t seem scary or impossible, it is our ultimate hope.
He is our ultimate hope!
We are assured of His coming in glory as much as we have historical accounts of His birth, and we have deep dependence on His coming into our hearts right now.
As we celebrate Christ’s birth this week, find hope in the anticipation of His coming to take us home to be ever near Him.
Be near me, Lord Jesus
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to Heaven
To live with Thee there *
Spend time with Him this week as we celebrate His birth, His coming into our hearts and His coming in glory.
Merry Christmas!
