Feeling overwhelmed?
Can’t quite catch up with the stuff of life?
Dealing with an “out of the blue” diagnosis?
Life can seem truly too much sometimes. We let ourselves get buried by the difficulties and realities, and often can’t see beyond them.
A practice that can help us in those moments is “recalling his faithfulness”.
In a recent Instastory she posted, singer-songwriter Natalie Grant speaks of moments when she’s been overwhelmed by the busyness of career and family, and she puts into practice recalling when God has been faithful in her life. When a cancer diagnosis potentially stopped her from ever singing again, He was faithful to heal and fully bring her voice back to life.
Put into practice remembering when, what He said He would do, He did.
This world can leave us so burdened, empty and unfulfilled, but God will always fulfill His promises.
“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.”
2 Samuel 22:31-33
Get in the practice of recalling His faithfulness. When life seems to want to pull you down, the world closes in and people fall short, go to the Rock. Think on all the times He was there and continues to be. Praise Him for His faithfulness, for His promises are true.
