Sometimes it’s hard to love people.

Sometimes it’s hard to even just like people.

If I started to describe the traits of an obnoxious person, I think you would immediately be able to picture one or two people in your life. Whether at work, at church, at home or at the gym; difficult people surround us all the time. Maybe…you are difficult for somebody else.

But we have been called to be love; to represent Christ to a dark and dying world. We do not love through our own capacity and understanding. We must love through the love God has given us.

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.”

It’s quite simple, yet the most difficult thing to do. We want control. We want to handle it. We want to even ignore it.

But, we are set to a higher standard the moment we give our lives to Christ.

We must surrender our control, our judgement and choose to let love continue among us. To love the difficult, to maybe even try to understand why they are difficult…that is being Christ in this world.

Live love and you will live loved.
