A few things I’m thinking about…

Received this quote today, fits nicely with the way my mind was working yesterday:

Earlier I was thinking about what we are talking about in Bible Study.  I was actually doing my homework last night and realized I kept stumbling over a phrase that is repeated thru out. “Believing God” is the name of the Beth Moore study we are doing and so those words are there constantly.  Each time I read it though, I want to read “believing in God.”

God’s teaching me a lesson in these flubs…sooo many people say they “believe in God”.  Wonderful…continue to do so.  BUT…”Believing God” is a on whole other level of our faith walk! Rather than just believing God exists, believing God makes this an active, continual relationship.  This involves believing God will do what He says…is Almighty and Powerful…is always with us…continues to lead us through the difficult and foggy times….etc etc.

I hope you can distinguish between if you believe in God and if you believe God….Do you believe God can and will do great things in and thru you?  Or do you just believe that He exists somewhere out there?

I pray for God to do a mighty work in you and in me as we continue on this active and exciting faith walk.
