Holla! lol…whatever.
Happy Friday! Its been a weird and crazy week within my life and, definitely, in the world. There have been way high moments with Live 8 and hanging out with family and friends….to very low moments with the attacks in London to damaging hurricanes. Crazy!
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
For evil men will be cut off,
but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.
But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy great peace.
The wicked plot against the righteous
and gnash their teeth at them;
but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he knows their day is coming.
— Psalm 37:7 – 13
(Check out the whole chapter…its been my focus for months)
I have to give a big THANKS to those of you who commented on my last entry…lol…but I honestly have to say there was no intention of fishing for compliments. LOL When I wrote about those talents, I was meaning others that I love to read and receive inspiration from. But it did give me a nice little confidence boost….ah gosh, thanks man!
Anyhoo…I have a mission today and I’m going to accomplish it by 4:30 p.m. I have prayed over (and over) my personal next move with the warehouse, talked it over at the warehouse yesterday and am now feeling confident that I should go ahead. I have again realized that God is using my “talent” for communication (talking, babbling, conversating…lol). I have been kinda the messenger/advertiser/spokesperson for what’s been going on in Ybor, mainly, within the Army. I love sending out my “monthly” email updates, writing on here about the daily grind and talking to anyone who will listen about what’s going on with the warehouse.
SOOOOO….I’m intentionally (there’s that great word again ) using this tool to get the word out to more people. Today my task is to look up and put together a database of local on-campus college ministry leaders. Starting Monday, I will contact each of them to set up a meeting and start to get them involved. So I’m the Networker! [Network – v. To interact or engage in informal communication with others for mutual assistance or support.]
I know I know, this realization seems soo late in the game, but its more of the fact that I want to be sure of what God wants me to be doing in this…not me just creating busy work so I look like I’m doing my job.
God, please reveal to me those who I should be speaking to, praying with and for, and possibly even supporting.
Peace and Safety for the weekend…
You are definitely on the right track there. And I like your thoughts that you are there to support them. You are. We are for each other but specifically this is part of your mission, of your aim and purpose. Keep moving forward and God will regulate your speed, and direction.
