Good God Day! Great God Day! Gorgeous God Day!
More of the unexplainable…right after I posted the earlier entry, a few pastors came in to meet with Bill for lunch. Not even 5 minutes into meeting them were all 6 of us standing, holding hands and crying out to God over what is happening in Ybor and even simply, the phone call Beth (YFC secretary) was about to make! I mean, crying out to God…praising Him for just bringing the 6 of us together at that moment. Like I said, I am usually there on Thursdays not Fridays! I was meant to be there today. Wow…

So, a little from “Visioneering” (BTW, I have not formally thanked Kelly for giving me this book to read like 2 years ago! THANK YOU…I’ve finally caught up!):
Many of us here in FL have fond (and not so fond) memories of Mrs. Howell’s favorite phrase heard many times over the speakers at Camp Keystone: “You have a wonderful opportunity…” Well, as I was reading the latest chapter in Visioneering, my thoughts went back to these great old days. This is a little bit of what I’m reading…
[Stanley correlates the story of Nehemiah with his writing on vision…here is the scripture he refers to in this portion: “O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” Ch. 1:11]
Stanley: It is interesting that Nehemiah never prayed for God to rebuild the wall. What he prays for is an opportunity to go rebuild it himself. That is the difference between a dreamer and a visionary. Dreamers dream about things being different. Visionaries envision themselves making a difference. Dreamers think about how nice it would be for something to be done. Visionaries look for an opportunity to do something.
I truly believe our generation is called to be Visionaries, and we need to get past being Dreamers! Lord, I pray for my friends and those in our generation to step up and be the Visionaries God has called us to be!
Pray for opportunities and plan as if you expect God to answer your prayers!
you know the Howells are going to be living up our way in a couple of months – hooray for us! of course I doubt I’ll see them anymore as the ARC doesn’t really come under a division and this DHQ is quite a distance from Memphis…but it’s nice to know they’ll be just across the way. we’ve had God make a way for us today too with properties – closed on one property and an unexpected situation on property we’ve already bought and are in getting close to the opening was taken care of because it’s God’s time and all his plan anyway.
